I only got into photography last year. Of all of the places I've been since then I think my pics from Oslo were the best. Here's my favorite photo from that trip:

Not sure if this is my best, but I do like it, and for what it's worth, it was taken at 1:15am on New Years Day and I was piss-drunk dragging my tripod around through the snow. Surprised anything turned out. The colours are un-edited, it really was like this, a full moon, and the sky was lit up like crazy...

it was difficult for me to pick a 5th and final photo... but i believe the content of this one beats out he photographic quality of many other of my photos:

this tornado destroyed a beach community and killed a woman, and i'm the only person that got a photo of it.

Looking towards University City from the Art Museum. The more I look at this one, the more stunning I think it is.

City Hall chiaroscuro.

So that's #s 1 and 2, right?

This is a picture of my 06' Pontiac G6 GTP at Meem's Bottom Covered Bridge in Mount Jackson, VA. I submitted this photo to Car & Driver magazine for their "10 Best Beautiful Car Shots." It was chosen as 10 best and can be viewed on their website.

I'm rather fond of these ones (#2, 3, and 4 for me) from my favourite European city.

City of London, I call this one Trinity. The only building I know here is the Willis building (the modern one).

Piccadilly Circus

Westminster Abbey

All from March 2009.

In the first one, I very much like the way the church steps up in 3 different levels towards the Willis building, mirroring it in a way, and the perspective gives both buildings a similar size.

The church, btw, is St Andrew Undershaft, so called because it used to stand in the shadow of a giant maypole, down the road.

Both are great shots, le calmar.

Thanks for the info Bedhead. I must say, I didn't know that the church had three tiers as well, I like it even more now.
