It is a great pic, but there is no way that’s a raw image.

Looks like they used a long focal length to make it look like everything is close together buildings wise.

Probably. Someone on Reddit did a Google Earth image from a similar vantage point and it's very similar. It's just a flattering angle for the north midtown skyline.

At the same time I have seen a view of the city skyline from the Vinings area that is similar in that it looks way closer than it actually is.

you can achieve that focal range with a pinhole camera, but i don't know if there is such a thing as a digital pinhole camera. maybe it's one of those HDR type things where it's combined from a series of different images.

Wow, love Ponce in the foreground. Never seen it from that angle before. Hanover looks pretty bold from here too. Thank you!

Even more amazing is the background of Cumberland and Vinings. Really shows just how big one quadrant of the metro area is.

Great picture! One thing that really stands out is that Peachtree is starting to get "lost" as Midtown development spreads out. If you showed someone not from Atlanta a picture from that vantage point from 10 years ago, and asked them "where's Peachtree Street?" they would immediately know. The majority of developement was right along the North/South spine of Peachtree. Now, in this pic, it's not obvious any more. Look how much CODA, NCR, Modera, the rest of tech square, mutliple towers near the park at 11/12/13th, Hanover(s), Icon, Post Midtown, and others have really spread out the skyline. Looks like an urban area, instead of only Peachtree and 14th having towers. And that's reflected in the pedestrian experience.

It's definitely bulking up and will look even better with the Cousins Tower and 1105 being added.
