Nice job! Looks like a decent walk. And extra jaunts to the UW and maybe Tacoma (car museum I've never been to?)

I forgot to bring my good camera to UW, hence limited photos, but it was a nice tour.

The car shots are from this ridiculous place near the stadiums.

Nice pictures. Did a lot of Oilers fans go down for the game? Did they go because it was a weekend game and it was organic? Or, is there a grpup that runs away trips for people? I go to an Eagles game on the road every year, and there are 2 groups that run trips for fans, and when certain away teams come up on the schedule (Cardinals, Rams, Buccaneers, etc), thousands and thousands descend on the location.

I'd say mostly organic.

On our plane down there were about 15 obvious fans heading to the game, but most looked like groups of 2-4. Lots of folks I know from Edmonton have this trip on their bucket list.

Release the Kraken! One of my favorite cities and fun to explore.

Nice. There's a lot of organic traveling for Eagles games, as well. Some games are so popular, partly for the destination, that spillover into other airports is significant. I tend to fly out of BWI, and you'll see a lot of Eagles fans there using it because Philadelphia prices are too high or flights sold out too soon. The same can be said for airports like Newark Liberty, Trenton, and Harrisburg.

Seattle is actually on my bucket list for an Eagles game, and the Eagles play there this fall. Hopefully the schedule works out in my favor. I would love to see a Flyers game there as well, but when the Flyers are better (which is hopefully in less than 10 years). I'd love to see a Phillies game there, too.

What else is on your bucket list for Oilers games? If you wanted to see Philly, next year might be a good time, since tickets are practically given away now. Flyers fans are kind of boycotting the team until upper management becomes competent, or ideally Comcast sells the team.

In no particular order and awaiting better competition in some cases:

-Chicago
-Philly/Pitts - combined trip
-Los Angeles
-Toronto
-Montreal (I saw them play Edmonton back in the early 80s)
-St.Louis
-Tampa

A beautiful day paired with construction/limited walkway space = a bit misleading.

What did you think of the Kraken's newly renovated arena compared to the Oiler's new arena?

Looks like a good time out & about in Seattle!

(still a long way to go but the Kraken won their first game of the playoffs and the Oilers lost their first game...)

watched a documentary about seattle waterfront issues, personally I don't trust this pedestrian bridge, physically, better stay away from here when crowded.

Now both tied up 1-1

I really liked walking in and being on the upper concourse. That said, there was a lack of bars and bathrooms compared to Rogers Place and RP is far from ideal too.

I liked how integrated it was with the neighbourhood around it due to its sunken nature, but it felt a bit small inside.

Our seats in the mid-200s had that stupid walkway disrupting our field of view, making it feel like we were in the upper uppers in other rinks.

Overall + and - compared to Rogers, but comparable by way of being quite different.

so funny to see seattle with a hockey team.

i guess its about time tho.

too bad the nhl lost me with that and their previous over expansion spree some time back, i stick with ncaa now.

anyway, looks like you had fun -- and very nice pics -- plus it reminds me we have to get back to seattle soon.

Cleveland needs a National Hockey League team as well.
