Will be visiting Beijing and Macau next month for 8 days. First time to the People's Republic of China. Thanks again, Lhasaguy, for providing all the visuals. Can't wait to see some of what you've posted in person.

Lhasaguy... I'll be in Beijing this week. Plan on seeing the Forbidden City, the Great Wall, the National Center for the Performing Arts (the Egg) and SOHO Galaxy. If I may, can you recommend any other important place that is a must see? I'm staying at the St. Regis Hotel... to give you an idea of where I'm at in Beijing. Thanks.

Stayed at the St Regis in Beijing from the 17th through the 20th. On the
21st, flew on China Eastern to Shanghai (layover) then to Macau. Stayed at the Venetian Resort from the 21st through the 23rd. Back to Beijing (with Air Macau) on the 24th (stayed one night at the Hilton near terminal 3) and flew back the U.S. on the 25th.

China was magnificent. I'm going back. Oddly enough, I enjoyed Beijing more than Macau. The folks in Beijing were great... I was treated extremely well.

A fantastic trip.

Plan on going back to PRC. I'd like to see more of Beijing, may be take the HSR to Shanghai or further south. If Sky City One is built, Changsha will be on the list of places to see.
