The final drawings should of been out a long time ago , they say they have financing in place to build

Capital Pointe is ITC’s first project in Saskatchewan. Capital Pointe is a 29 storey mixed use development located in the heart of downtown Regina, steps from City Hall and the financial district.

The luxury condominium building will house 333 units and be the tallest residential tower in Saskatchewan and a signature piece of architecture in the city’s skyline. A historic weather tower originally erected in 1962 will be featured at the top of the structure.

The multi-tiered building will also include a 11-storey hotel with 140 guest suites; amenities of the hotel will be available to all condominium occupants. The development also includes 5 storeys of underground parking.

That's what I was thinking. 29 would get this close to 100m with the pointy thing. That would be amazing. Of course getting to above grade would also be amazing.

Well, three additional floors would make a difference when viewed from afar, that's for sure ---- especially when driving inbound from Highway #1 west and Highway 11.

Yeah, at the moment though, ONE floor would be amazing! Yah!

Rathore estimates the project is about five weeks behind schedule due to the unexpected delays in excavating the foundation for the building. But he’s confident the large crane that will be used for building the foundation will be in place by January.
“The good thing is, the crane is going in soon and we’ll be coming up out of the basement, out of the five floors we just dug, so we’ll be at grade around June, July of next year. When people see our crane, and see it’s above grade, they’ll know we’re on the homes stretch towards finishing the project.”

Oh where oh where can the crane be

You are forgetting the 5:1 conversion factor on any times given for the project. My estimate puts the crane on site around September.

Happy 2,710th day of this thread everyone.

Without the webcam I don't pay much attention to the work site anymore. Have they resumed digging since Christmas and New year's break ?

I would be shocked if they are but that is because I haven't even seen anybody working on the bypass lately. I don't know what kind of equipment works in -40

We decided not to renew our hosting service for a second year as the camera was beginning to cost us more than it was worth. Our original hope was to invest in the infrastructure, get the camera up and running and approach the team at Capital Pointe/Fortress to see if they would cover all or a portion of the monthly expenses involved in running the cam. Unfortunately Capital Pointe doesn't see a value in a construction camera and after several contact attempts over the year it seems are uninterested in working with us. At this time I have no plan to bring it back online but the camera/equipment is still installed and active should that change down the road.

17/01/2017 Update

Stopped by Fresh and Sweet to pick up my favorite Red Velvet cupcakes and took a few pictures of the hole. Looks like they still have a bit to go before the bottom is reached and the crane is installed.
