Names are all a little cliché. I love the blue-green helmet colour for the Armada though, and the Highlander jersey is bada**.

EDIT: P.S., who is running that site? Are these legit concepts from the team proponents, or is this a fan project? The site is pretty light on details.

I suspect this is a fan-run site. If this were run by anyone associated with the CFL, or owners of the Halifax team, they'd pay enough money for their website to remove the Squarespace ad on the bottom of the page

I like the Highlanders name, As much as I am loathe to another red/black uniformed team in the league. I like it. I'd make it a little less busy, but I love the socks.

I believe it is the franchise backers now that they have set up an office in Halifax.

@CFLinHalifax is a new twitter account yesterday with almost 1000 followers. They started tweeting back and forth with other official CFL team twitter accounts:

I think they are all pretty good. My reasoning for selecting the Privateers is that it is something I associate more with Halifax history, if this is supposed to be a Halifax team. Plus, I kinda like the skull and crossed swords logo.

The Highlanders logo and uniform looks pretty good, but I tend to associate that more with Cape Breton and the Scottish heritage therein. If it's supposed to be more of a Nova Scotia oriented team, then it's alright but change the name to Nova Scotia Highlanders because Halifax Highlanders seems kind of strange to me. The Citadel is about as 'highlands' as Halifax gets - or maybe Cowie Hill...

Ospreys isn't bad.........

Although, on second thought, if you were a sports team, would you really want to have "prey" as part of your team name???

The Storm colors are a winner. Reminds me of the powder blue San Diego Charger unis which were always gorgeous.

Potential CFL team owners working behind the scenes to bring franchise to Halifax

CTV Atlantic

Last Updated Friday, January 26, 2018 8:39PM AST

The group that's working to bring a CFL franchise to Halifax appears to be playing the long game.

The potential owners are working behind the scenes to line up funding, sponsorship, a name, and a stadium – all in time for kickoff in 2020 or 2021.

“We're going to spend some time talking with the city, with the province, and even starting conversations with some local organizations that have indicated that they have a desire to talk about a sponsorship,” says Anthony LeBlanc, who is leading the effort.
