I'm sure that the ones in NY, London, and Russia all have homes in at least NY, London, and South Florida.

Why is it so small? California has had the highest taxes in the nation for decades.

Incline Village is actually even smaller (that's showing StateLine NV, which is the casinios, and South Lake Tahoe, CA, which is the largest population center on Lake Tahoe.

Incline Village looks like this from "above":

and like this from street level:

Basically hiding in the forest.

Even in the US, they wouldn't do it. Their pizza is very decent, eh.

What is ketchup used for, then? Idk. Some hamburgers and fries, admittedly.
Ketchup is still much better than mayonnaise (that's way too fat) in fries.
Funny enough, ever since I started eating more Indian food and Indonesian food when I was in my 20s, I started not liking ketchup. It's too sweet. My friends in college used to think I was weird for mixing ketchup with black pepper. It made it taste better, in my opinion.

And interestingly enough, in the US, since the early 1990s, salsa has been the best-selling condiment, beating ketchup. Some say that sriracha will become the best-selling condiment.

Shows you how American culture has changed---for the better!

Ketchup and sriracha taste hella good together.

For fun, mix in some sriracha into your unsuspecting friend's ketchup.

You can also make ketchup taste good by mixing in some Cholula (or whatever spicy Mexican condiment you prefer). Otherwise, ketchup sucks--I'd rather dip french fries in ranch, have hot sauce with eggs, and put mustard and pickles on hot dogs/hamburgers. Ketchup is useless. I'm not even sure if we have any here right now.

I like ketchup precisely because it's sweet. Even though it's not popular in the local cuisine down here, I love sweet stuff on my meals. Obviously, it's a sauce made for meat, that's why I use it in burgers only.

BTW, Asian cuisines are full of sweet sauces. Tare and chutney being my favourites.

Bear in mind the 'Greater New York area' includes Philadelphia CSA.

The Hurun billionaire list differs also:

imagine thinking so many people should have a fucking billion dollars in what was once the capital of the middle class.

also, we don’t give a shit about monopolies so we might as well speedrun capitalism straight through like fucking morons instead of making an attempt to milk stable conditions like an intelligent people might.

No, it doesn't.

The NY and Philly areas are separate UAs, MSAs and CSAs. There's no Census metric where the two are combined.

And the Philly metro is on the list, separately, listed twice (Philly and Main Line).

Absolutely incorrect. (Crawford Running Lies Tally +1.)

The Philly metro appears only once on Forbes' list; it's called Greater Bryn Mawr Area. (Seems to be a bastion of Philly Old Money, I had to look it up.)

The map shows that Bryn Mawr and Philadelphia are listed separately.

Oh, I thought the SSP post (which cuts off at the point of 2 billionaires or less) was a faithful reproduction of the (full) Forbes list. I'm the one corrected then. (Not hard to imagine Philly itself can have one or two billionaires.)

It's absolutely ridiculous of them to call any area "Greater ..." since they're doing the exact opposite - if "Greater Bryn Mawr" isn't even "Great" enough to include Philly, there's clearly nothing "Great" about it.

Now I can't stop thinking about a sriracha-infused tomato paste for pizza. Not as sweet as ketchup, but...I don't know where I'm going with this.

I heard recently (and often) that London has the most. So I’d love to know what the different methods where for coming up with these numbers. People who own property vs people who work/live in the city etc. That’s hard to track especially among jetsetters.

Chicago is pretty low considering they have so many Fortune 500 headquarters and their finance industry. But then, most billionaires today seem to be coming from pre-IPO.

Toronto doesn’t surprise me given how egalitarian Canada is. The same can be said of Sydney/Australia.

What is a bit puzzling is how few Tokyo and Paris have considering they are among the most cosmopolitan of global cities that serve as the capitals of highly developed countries.

Also, probably significant is the health and demand of the city real estate market in scoring billionaires who need to diversify their into property. Not coincidentally, the cities at the top are among the most expensive to live in, where buying a house and moving to another is a solid investment.

$ Billionaires

The Hurun 2020 List:

Beijing China 110
New York City United States 98
Shanghai China 83
Hong Kong China 76
Shenzhen China 75
London United Kingdom 74
Moscow Russia 72
Bangkok Thailand 56
Mumbai India 50
Guangzhou China 45
Hangzhou China 42
San Francisco United States 41

The Forbes 2020 List:

New York City United States 92
Hong Kong China 71
Moscow Russia 70
Beijing China 67
London United Kingdom 56
Shanghai China 46
Shenzhen China 44
Mumbai India 38
San Francisco United States 37
Singapore Singapore 31

I hear London bandied around quite often as having the most billionaires but I think that's because many are 'resident' there (insofar as they own property)- but not necessarily based there.
