I'm just curious to know if anyone knows whether the length of the Transbay Center is longer than the height of Salesforce Tower, and by how much? Thanks!

I was curious too. Turns out you can measure things on google maps. My measurement for the terminal is 719.59 ft (219.33 m).

From every angle, this thing is appearing already to be past the Pyramid (I was in Marin earlier today and even with the pyramid in front the core sticks up behind the tip). But it's only around 830' to the very top of the forms? Should be a good 23 feet still.

No , must be out of scale , 2 transameria pyramids can fit end to end tip to tip on the transbay site.

Source: attended a project site tour when excavation was already complete and the concrete matts were already poured.

You are right, sir .. sort of. I stopped the measurement at the wrong street. A quick remeasure (Slightly above 2nd to Beale), is 1,442.73 ft (439.74 m). Transamerica's highest floors is (according to wikipeida) 695 feet, but the roof is 853 feet. I guess that means the building would fit if you cut off the tip.

Around 11/9/2016, based on their rate of 4.1 floors a day.

You mean 4.1 days per floor.

Top of the forms is at floor 56 if I'm counting correctly...which is 840 feet. One more floor until it's our new tallest!

I believe that the top of the rebar is at floor 58. The top of the rebar is the fuzzy part shown higher than the inner forms on the semi-live cam, currently.

So that makes it (58-1)*15=855.

Lol. I read SoCal Alan's post and my mind was about to explode trying to figure out how they could have 4.1 floors until I read down and saw it was a mistake.

Looks like the pyramid is now #2. That's kinda sad.

What? This is a great day for San Francisco. It's about time! It always angered me that pathetic cities like Cleveland and Charlotte have had a taller tower than SF, but that's going to change soon.
