That's not bad for Cargojet, but bad for fulfilment in amazon deliveries in Canada (not a user). Cargojet is expanding too, so while I can't read the article, might be slightly misleading from a negativity stand point.

That one is the new Amazon warehouse I believe. There’s a thread for it somewhere.

This right beside the east side Hwy 6 at Garner Rd. It is tied up in environmental approvals as there is a large pond on the property. The owners want to fill it in and build another one some where else. The conservation authority wants in left alone and buffered all around it by 30 m.

The first phase is around 1.5 million sqft.

There is another proposal on the westside of Hwy 6 at Garner and another one at Garner and Smith road kitty corner from Fire Station 20.

I’m pretty sure that JetBlue and it’s US customers don’t even know what or where a YHM is! Remember that British carrier that planned service to “YHM Hamilton Toronto airport”? I would bet if JetBlue served southern Ontario, it would likely be YYZ.

That’s ambitious! Glad to see there’s hope yet! When is the ban on Caribbean and Mexico flights set to expire? Does Swoop have any sunny south routes planned from YHM?

I thought the ban on southern flights ended, but I could be wrong.

I have no doubt that swoop will re-introduce several destinations (possibly new ones), but they're being very conservative on when they release information. I think they will be waiting until July/August to release information as they don't want to have to cancel flights in case something goes wrong with our vaccination efforts.

Swoop previously did: Las Vegas, Montego Bay, Orlando, Tampa Bay, Ft. Lauderdale, Cancun, and Puerto Vallarta from YHM.
Vegas, Orlando, and Montego Bay were year-round.

There was never an actual ban, the government asked the airlines to stop flights to sun spots and they agreed. Both AC & WS are resuming flights to Mexico / Caribbean either this month or in early June.

Unless your talking about the limitations to the big 4 airports?

I think there will be more summer destinations (Florida, Vegas) in the coming weeks/months.

I am, however, very disappointed we got snubbed of Phoenix (Toronto got the route).

I'm hopeful for some Florida destinations. Fort Lauderdale specifically would be a great addition as I am hoping to head to Miami this winter some time.

Kelowna is summer only. All the peak demand in the press release is for the summer. I listed the winter schedule which has reduced domestic frequencies according to the booking system.

And here are the other Winter destinations from Swoop that we were expecting.

Orlando (Sanford) - 2x Weekly (Mon, Fri) | Starts Nov 1
St. Pete-Clearwater - 2x Weekly (Tue, Sat) | Starts Nov 9

It looks like St. Petes is replacing Tampa and Orlando (Sanford) is replacing MCO.

No Vegas flights as of right now...

Ugh. No Fort Lauderdale and it’s the only 2x weekly which isn’t super useful. Oh well.

Swoop quietly added a few more frequencies out of YHM.

Edmonton: 11x Weekly (Up from 7)
2x Daily: Mon,Thu,Fri,Sun
1x Daily: Tue,Wed,Sat

Abbotsford: 12x Weekly (Up from 7)
2x Daily: Mon,Thu,Fri,Sat,Sun
1x Daily: Tue,Wed

Halifax, Kelowna, and Winnipeg have the same frequencies.

Unfortunately, Westjet is decreasing frequency in July to Calgary (15x weekly --> 5x weekly). August is still showing 15x weekly (3x on Tuesdays). None the less, happy to see an increase from last year.

Well, I'm going to Vegas in October with or without Swoop. I really don't want to go to Pearson, but if I have to, I will.

This arrived Wednesday. I believe there will be 2. Service should start early July from YHM.
