I was there last week and they were still blasting in the pit, so I guess there's still some digging to do.

That being said, I can't recall the extension of the building being heard by the Design Review Committee. So I don't know what the status is on that one.

Yeah, that's what had me wondering, I didn't see any plan revisions go for approval. Unless they're just continuing the dig while they redo the plans for submission?

I walked by tonight, most of the excavation looks to be complete, there is also a cutout for the future crane base.

The crane was being installed in the Margarita site today. Excavation of the expanded hole (after adding the lot along the north of the property) is now finished. The new Margarita plot is now almost 50% bigger than the Mary Ann. The original plan was to build a mirror image of the Mary Ann but does anyone know if the building design/size has been changed and when construction will start?

That's a huge excavation. Have there been updated renderings put out?

I just wish the Alexander had been a LOT taller.. It just hides behind Maritime Centre.

That suggests that apartment rentals at their extravagant prices of $2500/mo have not gone well. Perhaps the lime-green glass, the porthole windows, the mishmash of finishes, and the view of the library have not succeeded in attracting tenants.
