Hey everyone, I'm new here and I really miss the original World Trade Center. It's great how far along progress has come on the new complex. I just have a question does anyone have the exact heights for the original WTC buildings 4, 5, & 6?

A great thread, and one that stirs so many memories and emotions.

I only ever went up 2WTC once, way back in 1994. I have a memory of the underground concourse, in particular a newsstand and some other shops. I never took photos underground and have been trying to find some. Thanks to all for sharing the rare views.

What an interessting forum. I was so surprised to see how many changes that part of Manhatten already experienced. There seemed to be a big Highway right unter the Northtower. And all WFC - buildings are built on the landfill. When the Towers were built- they stood right by the water! Does anyone remember that Highway?
Thanks for shareing your pictures! Have pictures from the Towers from the years 1987, 1989 and so on, but so much better ones are already shown here. I must check my pictures when we dined at the Windows, which by the way was an unforgetable experience!
Greetings
Michael

I don't know if it's been posted yet. I went through the whole thread, but sadly a lot of the links have gone dark. Anyhoo, this is personally my favorite photograph of the Towers. And it's a beautiful photograph in its own right. Just wish there were a higher quality version floating out there.

I may have never been a big fan of the twins, and the 70's might have been NYC's worst decade architectually speaking in my opinion. But that has always been one of favorite pictures of anything in general.
