Yep, if you look really carefully underneath Indian add-ons, the buildings are actually ornate underneath:

Lahore (pop 13 million) in Pakistan is currently doing a massive restoration of its city centre, while still keeping all the residents and businesses -and quite the undiscovered gem. Hopefully India will start doing similar projects:
