We don't really know, but it most likely is the DTC...if it's even a real project

May Snapshot.

Probably some projects either missing, already complete, incorrect, but gives you an idea of projects over 100' recently complete, under construction, or in the pipeline.

And again, Justin over at Denver Urban Review makes it so easy to know what's going on with highrise building construction in Denver.

Kudos Justin for this.....

Apartments going up in the DU area. There is another crane for another project next to it but didn't get a picture because there was a tree in the way.

I seriously dig those bold red structures and the rolling green roof plaza thing. That would be a fun place to have a picnic or something. Denver has the perfect climate for being outside during the spring and fall part of the year, and open spaces like this really work well in the city I think.

Is the Jones theater going to be redone and kept or are they proposing a similar replacement with a similar shape?

^Thanks for the update rds70. Looks like Confluence looks to be a floor or two away from topping off, btw that has to be a new crane record for the Platte Valley/Union Station hood..

That picture doesn't show nearly all of the activity, but over in the main Denver thread under Mountain West Region, they're saying 12 cranes in the Union/Platte area right now. It's probably close to, if not more, than various points of time in the past 3 years.

While I would love to see all of this activity pushing more vertical, it's very cool to see how full the area is getting. It's going to be such a great area for folks looking to live/work/play in a downtown that is walkable, vibrant, and contains character at almost every corner.

I had a visiting family member from Miami earlier this year that was in awe of how neat the area was. He had always assumed Denver was just a cow town with sprawl, but he came away thinking he might come back for good to live in lodo/union.
