Hahahahaha.

Yeah that was a big epic moment in Winnipeg history. People gotta stay alert

And speaking of that some reports said Winnipeg soil is not suitable for underground, so the better solution will be a skytrain like what Vancouver does, or the famous one in Chicago

Makes sense. I hope they will even innovate in technology like autonomous buses

Engineers can find solutions for everything. Dream big. Chicago's underground track moves 4 or 5 times the number of people than the elevated track.

Have they figured out where the Bassin Peel station is going to be yet? A quick google search suggested they're still deciding which seems impossible if that section of the REM is supposed to open in just 2 years.

Over the last 5-10 years, we've seen massive investment in transit all across Canada. Hopefully, this trend continues for decades to come. We still have a long way to go before catching up with our international counterparts.

REM rolling stock

212 Metropolis cars will be commissioned on the REM network. Each departure will use a four-car train at peak hours and two cars at off-peak hours to save energy.

I didn't much like the Griffintown proposal but it's turning out ok. I'll have to check it out in person the next time I'm in town.

This is the proposed LRT bridge that will head north from Blatchford over the Yellowhead Highway and rail yard to the northern part of Edmonton.
