It almost feels like a competition to see which development can have the highest number of different cladding materials.

Between the other sister site and Brenton Suites, Clyde street is rapidly becoming a rainbow of cladding.

Any one want to take bets that the yet to be cornice that wraps around the southern wing will be clad in yet another different colour material?!

The sidewalk on the Birmingham side of the Margaretta has been open for a little while now.

I could be wrong but I thought Dalhousie ultimately acquired the land along Queen Street behind the library that is currently surface parking and there will be no third "sister site" development.

Does anyone know if Clyde street will have the utility's undergrounded as that would certainly clean up the feeling on the street.

I have to say this is worse than the first building. The sidewalk experience is super cold and institutional with never ending glass and aluminum. Hopefully retail helps this, but the first building is a lot more interesting and pleasant at street level.

The fact that this one doesn't have portholes automatically makes it better than the first.

Like the Bilby and Flynn Flats this one uses tile as an exterior cladding too. Looks pretty good to me.
