I comprehend and never said it's a dead project I'm just saying there has been zero activity on the site which is truth.

Think of how long it takes for you to sit in a car dealership and lease a new Volvo for 12 months.

How long does that take? like?? 4 hours right? Okay, now think about all the stuff that needs to be done before they can even begin construction. They need to make all of the plans for the entire building to a meticulous degree, where do the pipes go? Where do the wires go? What types of materials are they using, Where are they buying them from? when are they available? How much do they cost to ship? How Long do they take to ship? How long does it take to make to spec pieces? What about all the guys that work there? Pay? Interviews? Finalizing contracts with dozens of contractors and hundreds of sub contractors? And don't forget the finance and insurance guys always bugging you to do this or that or add this safety feature or go with certain designs, which starts the whole process over again.

And all of that has to be planned and ready to go over a 2 year timeline to minimize interruption in work and keep your budget under control.

And that is just scratching the surface. I think you really fail to comprehend how much work goes into things.

Glad you're up on the timeline of the dig. I didn't say it was continuing just inferring that it is part of the actual timeline leading to a longer start to construction. Relax.

Hopefully they will be starting soon. The parking is blocked off and there were some trucks on site yesterday. No dirt moving but could be the start.

It's not going to add much to the skyline but will add a lot of density. I like these renderings much better than the ones on page 1. Love the amenity deck.

I really wish they would double to office portion, I think the demand is there. Also the BofA is something like 22 floors and our apartments are supposed to be 17 or 18 floors so I think the BofA tower is not as tall as it looks in the rendering.

So, I take it the 400' tower crane FAA app was for what...fun? Obviously, nothing more than a 250' crane will be needed for Block 23. What a bummer. Was hoping for a surprise

At least construction looks imminent.

Block 23 former j.c. Penny parking garage

Any of you sidewalk superintendents know what is happening with the 60 year old former J.C. Penny UNDERGROUND parking lot on this property. Are they going to excavate it out of there, blast it out of there or shore it up and retain it?
