Patterson & Son] funeral home property in Midtown Atlanta. A second residential tower is in the works in Buckhead Village which includes a high-end hotel that will likely break ground in 2022. We are also in the early stages of projects in Charlotte, N.C., and Nashville, and looking for additional deals in other markets.

The new 395-unit tower is the second phase of Mill Creek’s Modera Prominence development, which overlooks Buckhead at Piedmont Road and the Buckhead Loop near Georgia 400. Mill Creek purchased the 4-acre site in May for $15.7 million, according to a Fulton County property deed. The deal closed May 8.

SK+1 Architecture is designing the project.

The first phase of Modera Prominence has been under construction for almost two years. It has 319 mid-rise apartments, along with planned shops and restaurants.

Wow, that Star Metals hotel looks SWEET. Looks like it could be a Thompson with an amazing roof bar like the one in Nashville.

A land development permit has been filed for a 13-story Fairfield Inn & Townplace Suites at 445 Marietta Street. This represents a (possible) change for two previously planned projects.

Fairfield Inn / Townplace Suites dual hotel was planned for 524 West Peachtree Street. The site has been cleared with no construction for months now.

While 445 Marietta was going to be the site of an Element Hotel.

The university on July 6 notified the state of Georgia that it wants to develop 18.8 acres bounded by North Avenue on the north, Northside Drive on the west and Marietta Street on the east.

Plans call for 610,000 square feet of industrial space, 1 million square feet of office space, 100,000 square feet of commercial space, and 416 units of multi-family residential. More details about the project could not be immediately learned.

The property is bordered by the Northyards Business Park, which was acquired by MetLife in 2016.

The project has a proposed completion date of 2029. It would be developed by VLP 4 LLC, a business entity of Georgia Tech's Georgia Advanced Technology Ventures Inc. Some of the parcels are owned by VLP 3 LLC and TUFF TEPB LLC, the filing says.

Georgia Tech has been planning to expand Technology Enterprise Park since at least 2015.

that pig of a parking garage base is gonna need a whole lot of lipstick. i think the tower itself is going to turn out well, if a bit stubby.
