Indeed.

Also I love how in the original old image you can see them putting up the fake shutters - I always did like the fake shutter look on windows - if you go to the east coast all of their buildings still have them.

Sorry for the poor quality picture. Took it from Jackson Street while bicycling somewhere.

the building to the left of it is such a waste of space being only 1 story.. this development is looking good though

also that stucco eyesore at the top is why you don't stucco a commercial building, esp. downtown with all the car pollution..

I didn't notice until I walked by today that they're getting rid of the rooftop patio and and replacing it with another floor. I guess if you're going to spend the money for an elevator, you might as well get as much out of it.

Taken this morning.
*It's hard to tell from the two pictures, but it looks like a very professional job they are doing. It seems to have taken its sweet time, though in my opinion worthy of that time spent so far.

Would be awesome if it's a rooftop bar/patio similar to The Porch in Toronto

Wow you can really see the ventilation on the roof of that building..

the brown (wood? Vinyl?) slat finish is looking nice on the top floor. It's hard to see the rest with the scaffolding.. I hope they fix the part on the main floor where you can see where they carelessly spraypainted the red paint finish and if bled in the last "tenancy" of this building before this one.. I hope they put the awning back on the main floor too - looking rather bare without it..

Also I love how in the bg you can see all the "open glass" concept of the connaught - and everyone just has all the windows shut up with blinds or curtains.. I sometimes wonder what the point having a glass wall is if you're just going to cover it all up because of the glare.. you think they'd have self tinting transition windows by now..

This one is moving like a turtle but if you look closely (definitely click for full size) you can see some progress through the scaffolding. Do we know if this building has a tenant or what it's use will be yet?

This had been planned to be Movengo’s new office:

Unrelated, but that photo really shows that the Terminal Towers need some love.
(and please please PLEASE not the kind of treatment that the Undermount towers received to become the Shiteau Royale)

This project has taken way too long. I know that they are working full time on it again as we speak, though. Hopefully we can see further progression soon. I believe someone bought the building beside it too?

The one to the left or the right of it?

I like how they have added the stone facade look to the patio floor side - makes it more in line with the look of the original building. Fun fact, this is one of the oldest original buildings still standing in the core. It's just a pity this location is kind of cursed - every business in it has gone under in some way or form. Perhaps when the connaught development is all done however there will be more people to fill it up. It did okay as the london taphouse but kinda cratered after that.

It would be located on the left in that photo. You can't see it in the photo. The one in the middle of the Connaught and the building discussed in this thread.
