I live nearby here.

I believe the project has been approved and is currently under construction.

There use to be an abandoned building here and was used as free McMaster parking.

I’m guessing this will be highly utilized and rented out to graduate Mac students and upper years along with some permanent residences.

I go by here along the rail trail almost every day. They have poured footings. They are working. I've got a funny feeling this will go fast. It's more than likely prefab panels. Nothing special but probably not horrible.

January 29, 2020 Update

Lots of progress since the start of the month!

They've started placing pre-made concrete slabs.

Some pictures from a couple of days ago. This one went up real fast. Materials look bloody awful though imo, nothing like the render.

The 3D sketch looked very promising. But this is a disappointment at the moment...

I wish the city cared less about height and more about developers actually building non-tacky, good looking buildings...

It's student housing. It is being built cheap. They will not even notice the building!
