Great work, I love seeing people put the effort into creations everyone can be impressed by.

Someone actually read this and posted, guess that means it's worth showing how much the rendering has changed

With parcel 4 and true north square, the models are almost fantasy because i am being hyper-optimistic, but hey. These pics look like a skyline, and its Winnipeg! (wait, what?)

SkyCity will be a wonderful addition in terms of height, but that top portion still leaves much to be desired.

Hard to say what the finish project will look like during the day at the top, but I think it'll be great at night. Every time you watch a sporting event at night and see aerial footage of the big city skylines there's so many buildings and roofs caps lit up in colours... we need that.

Awesome job Triton. I love that Skycity takes the focal point away from Portage and Main. That area has been a stagnant focal point of this city for too long. I would love to see some tallerish buildings along Donald, Graham, Fort and Portage.

I agree. Looking at that last image, which is in some ways the defining postcard shot of this city, I think that Skycity would really do a lot to enhance the skyline.

Strictly from a skyline perspective, I'd love to see a modern looking midrise of 10-20 storeys go up somewhere in the East Exchange or Main Street... I hate the way the skyline drops off so sharply to the right of the Richardson Building.

And what are all those midrise glass buildings in the last image?

Yeah, that's what it is, assuming its as tall as it can possibly be for what is proposed

Driving into the city would be interesting from certain angles.
For the Winnipeg context, SkyCity looks massive from street level

^Is that coming in from Sargent or Ellice? Regardless, that is quite the view. Great job.

It is coming in from Ellis, right by the restaurant some family members of mine run

^ Still hopeing that TN's Hotel/Condo complex tops out at 27, just waiting for a news release(we have the freeps information), confirming it at that height. 27F was something I never expected..

Wonder how high an estimation would be for 27F
110m?

A ballpark figure might be considerably lower for a combination of hotel with residential units, condos in this case. ~ ie: between (90+m) to (-100m) as an estimate..

Portage keeps changing, the view from street level will keep changing. GlassHouse is beautiful.

Along with a few street renders, I put a residential tower on top of protage place for fun.

The fake tower looks pretty decent too

Anyway, can't wait for GlassHouse to be finished

^Very nice. Interesting to see what downtown would look like if and when those buildings are built. Is the design of the tower at Portage Place a product of your creative mind?

These are some great visual renderings/images TRiT. I hope you've had a chance to add them to the Canadian Forum..
