Anybody Do Walking/Driving Trips On Youtube? Any Surprises?

I've been spending a lot of time lately doing this, all over the country, particularly to the cities I've haven't spent some or any time in.

Rochester, NY was a big surprise with that huge waterfall in their downtown area. Eat my Heart out here in Tucson with no rivers. Spokane, WA has a waterfall in their downtown area and Idaho Falls has an awesome one downtown as well.

Pueblo, Colorado was a welcome surprise, their riverfront area. Attractive enough to want to visit there.

Indianapolis was also a pleasant surprise, didn't realize that city was so dense in the downtown area.

And another surprise, Fargo, ND! For a city of its size, a very attractive downtown area.

I was surprised to see that this neat little commercial strip with angled parking existed in the East York area of Toronto. It feels like a small town Main street.

Here's another similar strip on nearby Donlands Avenue:

I just did 2 walking tours tonite of Wichita and Topeka Kansas. I couldn't believe my eyes! To think I passed up these 2 cities years ago as I was passing thru, thinking either city wouldn't offer anything. What a mistake that was!

I'm a sucker for curved buildings and outdoor sculpture, and I was bowled over with the street sculptures in both Topeka and Wichita. Humane type sculptures, not modern art, all done in bronze.

Being 71YO with COPD, I also look for the cities with the most sitting benches in their downtown area. Not always easy to find.

From the source you linked to:

"Now an ephemeral stream throughout most of its stretch, the Santa Cruz riverbed is dry most of the year, except for occasional water flow following seasonal storms and floods. Water use over the last century has exceeded the aquifer's ability to recharge, resulting in decreased water levels in the water table and a dry river bed."

and

"The flow in the Santa Cruz River between Rio Rico and Tubac consists almost completely of effluent released from the Nogales International Wastewater Treatment Facility."

Not really comparable to Rochester or Spokane...

I've been enjoying these a lot this year. "Pro Walks" is my fave. I don't want commentary or subtitles or music; just walking through.

I wouldn't say there are many surprises for me, per se, but I'd say Florence, Italy was the most better-than-expected. Obviously I know it's famously good, but still.

I picked up a great number of pickled youtubes on Philly’s Kensington Junkyard strip. There must be hundreds of hours of video on the awful predicament of humanity in Philadelphia’s notorious neighborhood.
