Ottawa: Mostly by night (February-March)

I scanned a roll of 64 ISO slide film today which originally expired last November. Most night shots were taken at a 30 second exposure.

(02.02: 3:00am) Chaos at Place Marion Dewar - ambulances, fire trucks, cruisers, and residents being evacuated onto an OCTranspo bus.

[7 St. Laurent]

The ugly barn door/vestibule ruined it - maybe it's just for the winter?

Great shots around this cold wintry city, Rob!

Awsome photos! I especially like the one on the canal. There is such an amazing mixture of buildings from many different eras in Ottawa (for better or for worse).

Thanks! It's so nice and foggy by the river now, I wish I had my camera...

Me too.. I went to the dentist yesterday around 5:30 out on Merivale..the fog coming off Dow's Lake was so eerie. Later on I drove down Island Park back to Gatineau, and once you got to the bridge you couldn't make out 20 feet in front of you, it was that thick.

I live in the Strand on Kent & Somerset. My next door neighbor was also on their balcony taking photographs of the city when I shot the sunset picture.

And the dead body would be my roommate; I told her I wanted a picture of her on the canal so she just reclined on the ice for me.
