Well yeah, it's not the "actual" design. Neither is that version of 270 Park Avenue. We haven't seen renderings for either yet, but we know what the form will be, and as such, you can pretty much say that "is" the design. They're just lacking in details.

Anyway, we get a preview of upcoming ULURP...

This situation is not analogous to JPMC. Yimby published the leaked model which completely paralleled the schematic that JPMC erroneously published online and then removed. As we can see from what’s rising, what Yimby published is the design.

What are you talking about, and what does it have to do with this tower?

Vandy observation 1020ft. This snooze fest 'could' well top out at 1050ft+ Nice one.

Summit's outdoor deck is on 1 Vanderbilt's Southern and Western faces. 341 Madison is to the north. Only the indoor view to the north might be obscured.

Yeh but seeing North will have views of Central Park in part and imagine the view of 270 Park Ave!

I mean can't the owners of Vandy ask for the height to be reduced to 1000ft ish? For the observation deck? Gentleman's agreement?

270 Park Design has no problem with it probably. But depending on how slim is 270 Park might allow tourists to see some Billionaires Row supertalls and the park, and imagine putting Tower Fifth, well it is closer and probably might obstruct 111 W 57th if it was built.

From this angle, 343 Madison will be a slim building, about half the width of 383 Madison...

I love when we get direct transit connections. To me that ties these buildings into the city even more so.

Here we have a look at some of the connections and transit improvements...

Depending on how fast these buildings come down, there will be overlapping demolition for 3 supertall towers in Midtown, starting with this one....

Scaffolding is up at 417 Park as well, though that doesn't seem like it will sprout a supertall.

So, are there any new renderings of 417 Park Avenue and others? I wanted to see the latest of it tho.

The Final Scope has been issued, which signifies the beginning of ULURP....

I’d be very depressed but for the phrase: “For Illustrative Purposes Only.”

It’s not a rendering, but the massing is accurate.

Hopefully, it will have a nice crown though. In its current form, this looks lame.

425 Park has a similar footprint and yet, Foster designed a beautiful tower.

I would doubt if KPF presents just another blue glass tower here. It will be a very sleek tower, whatever the case.
