So many projects happening in Austin at the present time. I hope they get this puppy underway before there is a slowdown in the economy. I really don't want to look at a vacant lot at this intersection for any length of time.

And The W almost stalled out during construction, but it made it. I guess I still have Intel on the brain.

They were putting barricades and I guess some fencing from what I could tell out on the site this afternoon. I took some pictures but need a new upload site/account. This one is definitely moving quickly.

That's standard protocol for any construction project.

The barricades being up is a really good sign that they may be planning demo very soon since they're keeping the cars out. I forget, but does this project have their demo permit yet?

They have had the demo permits for about a year. But the right of way closure permit listing the demo as 09/03 to 10/15 has not been issued yet.

KXAN took note of the ABJ article:

https://www.kxan.com/news/local/aust...tallest-tower/

Of course there are no visible signs of demo on day 1. They are most likey salvaging/clearing out some stuff from the inside. I don't expect any building demo for a couple weeks.
