I'm a tad worried about how this one will work out. From what iv seen of ALT hotels so far, they seem sort of ugly and cheap and I don't think they're style will flow well with the rest of the airport buildings. I also noticed there's a large drawback to the building, might have been nicer to have it closer to the road.

Webcam

Looks like it is progressing quickly. The warm weather and lack of snow are probably helping projects around the city.

This one is going to go up fairly fast from what I can tell. If it is true that the equipment and crew are from Ontario, it's no wonder they can go fast. They have probably done this design a few times before.

Thanks for the pic updates.

I think having a hotel right at the airport is going to be a big success in helping make our airport look even bigger and better as an international hub. Every big city I've flown through has had a hotel attached to the main terminal somehow.

There appears to be more glass in the Halifax rendering compared to the Toronto Pearson Alt Hotel under construction (it's almost complete, and is dark and depressing).

The TO Alt sure isnt a looker. I think the Halifax one is going to be very similar. Hope I'm wrong though.

Very cold, Scandinavian design.

Gotta love the illegally parked porsche! If that thing were mine I wouldn't be sticking it out into a traffic area where it could get dinged!!

Agreed! And it has been there for almost a week now. If you can afford that you should be able to afford to park it in the garage.

There is a guy who lives on my street who owns a Porsche Carrera, and parks it on the street all the time, including through the night. I don't even leave my Mazda parked on the street for fear of kids keying it!
