Lol my normal bus is usually there quickly too. I had to go to Sackville and the damn GoTime wasn't working so I couldn't move from the bus stop.

Yep its the Canadian Tire.

It is quite large but considering its replacing the Bedford one and serving Fall River and Waverly its a decent size. I actually wouldn't be surprised if they shut down the Downsview location once this is open.

Defenitely not a Wal-Mart. The Downsview one moved to the Commons years ago and since their building is still standing they won't take over the CT building. The Bedford CT is too close for another Wal-Mart and its too small.

Sunnyside owns the CT location so its possible they could expand into it but I'd much rather see a much deserved Bedford bus terminal at that location.

Ugh, they better not move the CT from downsview, there is few enough places to buy shit as there is in Sackville.

Meh I have to use a bus so I'm usually stuck in town.

Its defenitely possible. Then again there's only 1200 some-odd people in the building on a given day.

Area’s latest tennis centre to open in Bedford
Published on June 4th, 2010
Staff ~ The Burnside News Bedford Commons

The Daniel Nestor Tennis & Fitness Centre (DNTC) will be the first all weather, indoor/outdoor clay tennis facility in Nova Scotia and the only stadium seating clay court east of Montreal.

The six acre-property in Rocky Lake, next to Bedford Commons, is designed for international level play, local tennis enthusiasts, youth training and family recreational play.

Its official opening is scheduled for November.

The total property being developed by Rocky Lake Development currently hosts an indoor ice rink and will expand to include fields for soccer, football and lacrosse, as well as a gymnasium.

DNTC is a private tennis centre within this larger sports complex and will work closely with this group to offer summer camp programming for the local communities.

The DNTC footprint will be six acres with two more acres set aside for future growth and will include a small stadium design suitable for hosting Tennis Canada sanctioned international events, such as ATP Challengers and Davis Cup.

There is some new steel framing going up for a small retail space adjacent to Damascus Road in the Future Shop parking lot.

Looking at the plan for the area the building will be tiny so I couldn't even guess what could use the space.

So what you are saying is that they are converting a property on the road to Damascus?

A friend of mine told me it was going to be a Payless shoe store but I don't know where he heard that from.

I guess it could be a shoe store (still small looking though).

I wonder if it would replace the existing location in BP Mall?

I managed to snap a photo of the little building under construction. A sign in the parking lot says "Retail Leasing Oppurtunity" so I doubt it will be a shoe store;

Looks like it's about the size for a fast food drive through... Like an A&W or a gas station etc.

If it has the leasing opportunity sign up, then who knows what it will end up being.
