415 Natoma building looks to be starting.

They've been clearing out the buildings for the last week. They are starting to bring on equipment probably to tear these old buildings down. I heard something regarding June, but there is a pamphlet marketing the building and all its amenities making the rounds.

Well this solved the riddle: How many luxury SUVs can you fit into an SF parking lot?

I couldn't see the photo, so I hope you don't mind the adjustment that I think will make it visible

5M San Francisco Mixed-Use Development Project Scheduled to Break Ground this Summer

San Francisco, Calif. (May 7, 2019) – Brookfield Properties announced today that they will break ground this summer on 5M, a four-acre, mixed-use project in downtown San Francisco. Overall, 5M will provide $76 million in public benefits to the SoMa neighborhood and the City of San Francisco. “We’re excited to break ground this summer and deliver on an incredible new addition to the SoMa community,” said Brookfield Properties Vice President Jason Bonnet. “5M and its substantial public benefits will have a positive impact on the immediate neighborhood, as well as the city, with new parks, jobs, housing and opportunities for local businesses.”

socketsite also ran this today.

I'm happy to get the blocks filled in, and still looks like pretty good greenspace, but the overall look of the project buildings has been seriously degraded over the years of delays. I'm not nearly as excited about this one as I was at first.

Agreed. The final design really feels overworked, and in the process, lost some of its likeability. Also, as much as I love greenspace & think we need more in SOMA, this much in such a weird spot feels a bit haphazard.

active demo'ing happening on Sunday when I went by. the building on the right in the first photo is gone... this is looking back south out at Howard, so reverse angle

looks like the two little buildings just west of Chieftain are also gone

some evidence of work on the north side as well
