I was there about 3 weeks ago and they are still behind the white wall. Didn't see any stores open. They are still being worked on.

Can someone please tell me where these arrows (will) lead to? I have a strong suspicion that the red arrow will lead to the secondary (E) train connection, but I'm not sure because I haven't seen it in person yet.

If this picture is facing east then yes, the arrow to the left will lead to the E train, as it did before. Even two decades after it's gone the entire area was still intended for a concourse, and over a dozen subway connections. If the signage and advertisements are right this mall will receive hundreds of thousands of visitors a year.

If the crowds at Brookfield Place are any indication, the WTC mall will do just fine.

This photograph was taken at 2WTC facing south. The arrows are drawn on level C1M.

Yes, exactly one dozen MTA subway lines (ACEJZRW12345).

Watch 5 Years of World Trade Center Oculus Construction in 2 Minutes

Quote:
New York City's World Trade Center Transportation Hub and its main station house, The Oculus, officially opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony on May 26 after nearly five years of construction. EarthCam has closely monitored the progress over this timespan, and in celebration of its completion, they recently released a mesmerizing time-lapse movie chronicling the painstaking work conducted over the past half decade. EarthCam's catalogue of over one million images and panoramas were hand edited and condensed into a two-minute visual construction story.

Cruel and unusual punishment for commuters in amenity-free $4.4 billion WTC PATH station

By Editorial June 27 2016

Infamously, the Port Authority spent $4.4 billion to build its stupendously extravagant white Italian marble World Trade Center PATH train station, designed by architect Santiago Calatrava, who was paid $80 million to envision the work-a-day transit facility as a piece of art. So, he refused to mar it with clocks, toilets, waste baskets, water fountains and anywhere to sit. And now there is no newsstand as the PA is evicting the Hudson News outlet, to make the temple completely inconvenient for everyone.

No bathrooms? How can you have eating and drinking establishments and not provide bathrooms?

There are bathrooms. There are also clocks, wastebaskets and benches.

As usual, the Post and Daily News aren't exactly concerned with facts.

There's still the "WTC Newsstand & Novelties" next to the (E) train connection which will open later this year. Where else was Hudson News going to go, anyway? Maybe they could have moved them into 2WTC temporarily.

Please point out the clocks, wastebaskets and benches. I've been through the space many times and I can't seem to find them.

The only benches are tucked under the escalators on the platform level. The only clocks, hidden into a white band above the platforms. The rest of the space, the Oculus, and mall, have none of these things, as far as I can tell.
