Seems quite dumbed down from the original. I really liked the integrated balconies on the first version.

I'm not sure which version you're talking about.

632' above sea level, though I'm not sure how high above sea level that part of Manhattan is. The tower is definitely higher than 520' though

it's pretty much at sea level, the site is just across the street from South Street Seaport

Looks like some heavy equipment and possibly a crane is on the site (Near the S. Seaport)

Some website has taken over the second page of this thread. I have had to force-quit my browser several times. its says developmosaic.com or something. Do any of the mods have experience with coding? it has taken over the BBCode Guide page now too

Clear your cookies and cache (preferably using CC cleaner), make sure adblocker pro is on if you use chrome (explorer also has it), and see if it works. I haven't encountered any issues.

By real world standards yes, but the photo does not present the type of ssp evidence that is needed. Hopefully some higher resolution image will appear. I'd like to see the DOB sign up close. There might be some rendering we don't know about.

With all of the equipment at the site for the past two months, I'd imagine some form of caisson is installed. I blame myself though because I went to grab a drink with a friend last week and forgot to check the site, so for that, I am an idiot.

Fortis's 60-Story Seaport Tower Is Actually Happening

Tuesday, June 30, 2015
Zoe Rosenberg

Quote:
It looks like Fortis's sky-high South Street Seaport tower is moving forward after years of planning. Broker Fredrik Eklund, whose Instagram account is a small goldmine of new renderings and things of the like, just took to the social media platform to promote his involvement in 151 Maiden Lane, to be known as One Seaport, all while revealing that the tower will stand a whopping 60 stories tall along the East River. October's round of renderings for the residential tower depicted a helix-shaped building compliments of architects Goldstein, Hill and West, who may still be involved in the project. At the time, the building was expected to top out at 51 stories and hold 74 apartments, but given the added floors, the building's apartment count is literally up in the air.

The building will adjoin a 33-story Peter Poon hotel, which appears in DOB filings. Filings have yet to be made for the 60-story tower with the DOB, but the block-long property comes without height restrictions and can accommodate a building with up to 138,468-square-feet of residential development.

A rendering of the project that appeared on YIMBY in October may no longer reflect the tower's design

Sixty stories should make this at least a 600 footer.

I don't think there's any reason to believe that the 51-story tower rendered (and posted on-site) changed. The 60-floor height is coming from a broker. But hopefully I'm wrong

Oh, I definitely think at the min, this tower will rise ~650'. If it is true they plan to change this to 61 floors, then I would guesstimate that this tower could ultimately end up being over 700' plus easily.

There are 2 buildings for this project. The Poon tower is using 151 Maiden address while the 51-61 storey tower is under 39 Fletcher Street which the curbed article erroneously stated that there is no filing for this tower.

Plan Application Change: indicates 648' height with 51 fl
http://a810-bisweb.nyc.gov/bisweb/BS...de=ES403089942

As per diagram, Height is 629', but it doesn't include the top of the bulkhead which probably brings the total height to 648' as indicated in revised plan application.
