I don't think I'll ever get used to the Leg dome being brown. It just seems so wrong... and it will be many years before it oxidizes again.

Favourite Winnipeg view is still from St. B. with the Esplanade in the background. That shot is just money.

My Favourite has to either be from Casa Loma, The Don, or the classic shot from the Islands, even though it doesn't show anywhere near to the entire skyline.

Best view of the Grande Prairie "skyline" is probably from Highway 43 just west of the city, because our skyline is SO spread out.

Literally, our 3 tallest buildings are:

1. 214 Place, downtown

2. Sun Rise Towers, on the East end of town

3. Quality Hotel, on the west End of the city

If all these buildings were somewhat close to each other, our skyline would be WAY WAY better

Here are a few decent views of downtown from Google Street View

I had to do this. Here are the images put together in gif format. (Scaled to 400px wide because that was the maximum apparently)

Here's one I took from around there but it's about 3 1/2 years old now.

I can't decide between these two...

The view from Signal Hill:

Or the view from Southside Road:

This is a picture I took a couple years ago, from Dartmouth Cove, of my favourite Halifax skyline angle. It took it before the possibility of this shot becoming partially blocked from the King's Wharf development (several towers), which (now) extends out into the water via newly deposited land infill.

This shot could still be unblocked; I haven't gone back to check recently. Regardless, I lucked out to have decent lighting due to the clear weather, along with somewhat complimentary clouds -- and even a seagull beginning to fly-by.

All that's missing is a stereotypical Scotian sailboat...

Halifax really does have a great skylibe. It just needs infill like 10-15 15-20 floor residential buildings (like in Victoria) and maybe a marquee tower, I'd say 150m tops.
