Well we are mentioned often for the events we have for example the eagles, rolling stones, memorial cup (covered by TSN), university cup...and we will be for the curling thing and the track and field thing...and if you ever watch the weather network in the winter we are often mentioned or a reporter will be reporting from Moncton cause we always get large storms haha...

But yeah the CFL thing is beyond a long shot, but at least its good publicity!

Contract awarded for fieldhouse at Rocky Stone Field

The fieldhouse at Rocky Stone Memorial Field in Monctons Centennial Park is set to be replaced.

Newco Construction has been awarded the design-build contract for a new fieldhouse at Centennial Park's Rocky Stone Memorial Field.

The contract, worth $736,000, will see a multi-purpose building erected at the north end of the football field, where there is currently a parking lot. Newco's bid was the lowest of three bidders.

The existing fieldhouse is in poor condition, with inadequate washrooms and changing facilities, and city staff found it could not be renovated in a cost-effective manner.

So presumably they're going to tear down the old one?

Possible, however maybe not, could just keep it for an extra place for people to sit inside or something...Im sure the structure can serve some sort of purpose. Its not terribly ugly

No, just a bit further up the hill, its located in front on the new Jean Coutu. (nearby city hall)

It is within the former Jean Coutu strip mall, the strip mall got a refurbirchement and a new Shoppers Drungs Mart has opened since then.

The Oaks has sold 29/40 of the condos as of December, most likely more by now

http://www.theoakscondo.ca/index.php...mid=48&lang=en

I e-mailed them to ask the current figure.

Very true, there are not many condos available in Moncton, and its a popular option...I could see a new 6-8 story condo downtown easily doing very well.

I really like that building, perfect design and a perfect mix of both bricks and glass.

The time is up to get built a condo building. The corner of Main/Robinson (In the aim to fill up the stupid parking lot along Main, they could link up the building with office right behind) and/or Mechanic/Assumption Blvd could being a perfect fit to me.

Moncton meetup sounds good to me, just not this weekend. I'd be good for next Sunday or some day after that myself.
