This would be the ideal complement with the other restaurants in the Churchill...

It does sounds good. I wonder if they’ll bake their own bagels or procure them from somewhere else. One of the best local bagel bakers, Odelay in Ahwatukee, recently went out of business. The name has me puzzled. Maybe it’s a New York reference I don’t get. My inner 10-year-old would want to call it “Stoop-id.”

It definitely has a New York influence/ring to it, but I think it's a subtle reference to the cartoon show "Hey, Arnold!"

Stoop is reference to the steps leading up to an apartment building where people, sat, socialized and hung out. I think it’s of Dutch origin like a lot of stuff in NYC.

Loved that show but I missed the reference. Guess my memory isn’t what it was

Thanks. I'm a year or so too young to meet the arbitrary cut-off for the label of "boomer," but I've never heard of the show.

I'm a boomer, but I did watch every episode numerous times with my daughter, and it still took me having to look this up to remember Stoop Kid. But, I guess losing my memory is part of the whole boomer package
