The guy behind us was a DJ at CKOC and all of the girls in neighbourhood had a crush on him.

^^ I would have loved to see these neighbourhoods in the 60's!

#28 has looked like that for at least a year, I don't think it's a reno. #53 is at Sherman & Cannon I think.

These are definitely the neighbourhoods that made me fall in love with the city, they are rare in Canada. I could walk these streets all day, in fact I did for these pics and I didn't even make it halfway across the city. These pics cover nearly 200 blocks in Beasely, Landsdale, Gibson, Stipley and Crown Point and I've barely explored the city past Ottawa St.

Man what a thread.
Your love for the area really shows -- and it's contagious. It's always a pleasure to see your photos.

Thanks all

The other thing I was going to mention here is that this area looks extra dirty because there was snow on the ground a couple weeks ago which melted and left a mess. I'm not going to lie to you though, much of this area is normally dirty. The city really doesn't give a damn about it, and a lot of Hamiltonians would just as soon see it all demolished.
