It's difficult to count floors because of the glass and safety netting. It appears the core is at either level 36 or 37. If it's 37, the elevations have it as 504'. If it's 36, the height is 494'. The highest section of the core in this webcam view can be compared against the 542' Indeed Tower and the 516' Hanover tower. But comparing the tops of buildings is not the best measurement because of their distance from each other and varying ground elevations. Without checking the Indeed and Hanover elevations, I believe one corner of 6XG is a fair amount lower than Indeed or Hanover which would add to it not looking 500" when comparing it to other nearby towers.

I believe the core is at level 36 and they are forming up level 35. So it’s probably around 475ish feet.

But notice that floor 13 is missing in the elevations. So the height would be for level 37 if the core is at level 36. That's ~978-~484=494ish.

It's a slow news day. Maybe we could also go back to arguing whether the final height is 874', 875', 876' or 883'.

It’s going to be somewhere between 874’ and 883’.

IMO it’ll be 883’ since that’s what the FAA says.

We may never know the actual height. Until we get more info, the developer's statement of 875' is what I'm going with. The 883' is not the FAA's height, but the height of whoever filled out the FAA application.

If any of the anonymous sources who have provided me with elevations in the past wants to do so again, it would be greatly appreciated.

Well...it does mean a knock either up or down a few rungs in both the U.S. and World rankings. But, I know from where you're coming.

But it's a hell of a lot among skyscraper nerds.

What a terrible rendering. They literally squatted the entire downtown including and especially 6X.

It's like when my mom watches TV on the non-HD channels. Fix the aspect ratio, Mom!
