Manhattan is still by far the most densely populated borough though (70,000 ppsm) - Brooklyn (37,000 ppsm).

Yah, I remember seeing that about Queens too. And, you're right, really, it's the density that makes Manhattan (and most great cities) what it is. Phoenix's population isn't that much less than Manhattan, but, Phoenix isn't even in the same league.
