Now my sources are conflicting so I just went to Delta's website and could not find any direct flights to either city after the end dates. I will call them to confirm as well. (Embarassed)

Dont't lose any sleep over this yet. Stay tuned.

I do apologize for the confusing info I previously posted.

The Mexico schedules fluctuate all the time. The "discontinuation" will likely just be temporary for the slow months and brought back. They just haven't completed the winter or spring schedules yet. Has happened pretty much every year.

The addition will provide additional space for Boeing to construct vertical tail fins and horizontal stabilizers for the Boeing 787 as well as other aircraft in the Boeing commercial fleet (mostly 737) and will house a new painting facility as well. Boeing has added jobs to the SLC plant over the last year and the CEO of Boeing has spoke of more expansion of the SLC operation as recently as March. “We’re going to grow here in Puget Sound. We’re going to grow in Charleston. We’re going to grow in Salt Lake, in Winnipeg,” Boeing Commercial Airplanes Chief Executive Jim Albaugh told the Seattle Times in March.

So good economic news continues for Utah. Hopefully Boeing will see the value of our workforce and will continue to expand. There's still plenty of land to lease them surrounding their facilities at SLC.

I will try and get some pictures of the rather large addition under construction. It's big but mostly visible from the airfield than public side.

The UTA Welcome Center, pictured below, is in its finishing stages of construction. This will be the station for TRAX at the airport, at least until the new terminal is built. The picture doesn't represent the final look of the station, there is still exterior work to be done.

The environmental assessment is complete for the new terminal master plan(s). Architectural and engineering companies are in the process of drawing up more specific plans for what is to be built.

I was at the airport today to pick up my dad. Trax line looks great.

Accidentally scraped a lady's car as I was trying to park and when she asked to see my ID, I notice that my driver's license has been expired for 3 months!!!! I had no clue! I never look at my DL. I assumed I would receive a notice in the mail or something. Sheesh.

I just went through this. Went to get a wristband up at the Kimball Arts Festival a couple weekends ago, and was denied because of an expired license. I had no idea!!!

Noticing that your DL has expired isn't even the worst part. It's having to spend a day at the DMV. I will never understand why the state can't or won't open more DMVs though out the metro. And why the hell did they built that one clear the hell out in draper? That is a bad place to have it way out in BFE.

It's not the DMV you need to visit for a DL. It's the Driver's License Division. That can be even worse! I've already visited the one in Orem to renew my license, but they didn't like the birth certificate that I had. This is a new requirement since I got my DL last, so now I have to go through more red tape to get a certified copy of my BC from Connecticut. Uggh.

At least they gave me a temporary license that lasts 6 months.

That's right. The one I go to in Draper has both the DMV and the License Division in one building. Either way there long lines.

Looks like the new Trax station at the airport is finish. I got to walk inside the new lobby a week or two ago. It's still empty, only a few seats along the walls.

Thanks for the video tour of the new Airport Trax terminal SLC Projects. I, for one, can't WAIT for it to open. And even better that I'll be able to catch it and then connect with the frontrunner down to Provo to visit family. NICE.

What's the latest on the airport rebuild? There was the big announcement last January (I think) and since then, nothing!

As far as I can remember it wasn't ever supposed to begin before 2013.
