Yes, Vancouver winter weather yesterday in Calgary, drizzle in the south, wet snow in the North West, although this was actually outside the City limits at a higher elevation. Traded in my manual trans 2006 Civic for a 2013 Prius Three last December. I am loving the extra space from the liftback, much improved mileage and bluetooth (not a thing in 2006 Civics).

I do miss the manual transmission once in a while, though.

Anyone with a Ford Fiesta manual? I'm considering buying a used Fiesta/Fit/Micra/Mazda 2 beater within a year.
Everything I've read suggests the Mark VIII Golf isn't as good as the departing Mark 7.5. Cost cutting (hood prop instead of struts, hard plastics on doors) and then there's the gawdawful touchscreen everything. I'd seek out a remaining new 7.5 or a lightly used certified one.

I've driven the Golf mk3 (nasty cheap interior) & 4 (fun to drive & high quality interior); kind of want a used mk7 GTI.

I had a 2016 GTI. I think it had the autobahn package which is now standard. It was a pretty ho hum car. Not sure how much they go for used, but the Veloster N is similarly priced new and was a much more fun car.

It's been more than a decade, and I'm finally trading in my car. Getting rid of my 2010 Honda Civic Coupe with 108,000 kms and getting a 2021 (the 2022s are hideous) Honda Civic Sedan.

What I have on the left, what I'm getting on the right. I almost went with something else because seeing them separately I thought they were basically identical, but the 2021 is much nicer lol It'll be my first time having a backup camera, touchscreen, etc. I'm always very slow for this sort of thing.

I prefer the 2022 Honda Civic: a return to classic (late 80s/early 90s) Honda dashboard aesthetics with a larger better integrated touchscreen. The exterior is rather bland - a smaller Accord. I'd buy the Mazda 3 hatchback in this Japanese compact category - beautiful inside and out.

Nice! That's a HUGE upgrade.

I can't stand the exterior of the 2022 Civic. I didn't even look at the interior after seeing the outside. But I'm... when my buddy asked me what type of car I wanted, I said "I wish I could get like lime green" and he changed the subject.

There's a weird lip where the hood meets the grille, but otherwise it's a very conservative look, yes.

I think the 2022 Civic are exclusively offered with the CVT now.

It's also impressive for how much stuff the base model includes - A/C, cruise, heated seats, etc. etc. I guess it should include that for $25k, but still, a base model looks to be all the options one really needs.

Get a 2017 lime green Honda Fit like my neighbour drives. I really think the Fit is the best Honda ever made. I may buy one as my next car.

Here's the 2022 Honda Civic interior: love it!

That's cute! They don't seem to have many on the island - there's a white 2017 one at my dealership but nothing newer.

Get one now, as they're discontinued for 2022.

Unless you're planning on getting a used 2021.

If I was rich, I'd want a fully customized Mini. Sideview mirrors and stripes done in the Newfoundland tricolour, rest of the body a gunmetal metallic.

OR I'd import some cute little European dinky from St. Pierre et Miquelon.

^Can you do that? I'd love to import a Citroen C4 or Peugeot 308.

I don't know, quick Google suggests to import them, they must be 15 years or older:

I've seen a little European car or two with SPM plates every year of my life, before the ferries could carry vehicles. So no idea how they got them across lol

sounds lemon-like (I know it is named after the founder of the firm, and not the fruit, which is of course lacking the e-trema: citron. Not a good association for a car to have in the English language.

They totally bastardized the Eiffel Tower for nine years with their garish signage

My dad's friend drove a Citroen CX: it felt so exotic and interesting in the mid 80s: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikiped...%C3%ABn_CX.jpg
