Weird. It goes to show you how often and easily we're overlooked down here in the banana region of Canada.
Sorry about that! I do have a great shot of Windsor. I'll edit that in right away!

great work.. nice to see yellowknife with a decent skyline. Surrey has to have one of the worst skylines considering its population.

Agreed, but it is growing quite quickly considering it had nothing 10 years ago.

Rather than repost all the photos, I'll just add the link to a photo thread of pictures I took in Halifax (Halifax Regional Municipality) while I was home at Easter.

All photos taken by me and I've added the airport photos to the airport thread. Enjoy!

Why can't I find the Windsor shot you are talking about? Where is it?

Hmm, weird. You can't find it, because it's not in the list anymore. :\

It was this pic.

^^^ Thanks Symz. It is a different shot, not sure it does the city justice, but nice to see a different angle.

Well it's not a real city in the traditional sense. It's several towns growing into one another. It's in the process of developing central hubs where highrises will be built like Burnaby and Mississauga.

Some photos of Thunder Bay's "skyline".

Port Arthur / Grain Elevators / Fort William and Mount McKay in distance >>>>>>>>>>>>>

Close-up of Fort William. The building under construction is our new courthouse.

It's been a while since Regina's made an appearance, so here a few pictures of a small portion of Regina's skyline where a new tower is currently being constructed. Photos were taken by the forumers that originally posted them.

I'm going to have to go out sometime soon and get a good collection of pictures that includes more of the core.

It feels like this building went up pretty quickly for a city of our size. Can anyone else tell me construction times from base to top-out fora building this size?

I would guess not more than 2.5 years to construct it, and only about a year to top out once it has started rising. Buildings go up surprisingly quick.

For those that don't know... it will be approx 20 floors/81m or so.

They started ripping down the old building that was there in Sept of last year and finished digging/started building the underground parkade levels at the end of January of this year.

Our courthouse started construction 6 months ago (that is, 7 months ago, the site was a vacant lot) and this is what it looks like now:

By this time next year, according to schedule, it will be enclosed.
