After dinner out this evening, I saw a bunch of vintage autos, being used for a period film being shot. Thursday, 4.28.2022.

They even had fake vegetables/produce in front of a dressed-up storefront.

Pretty cool! They have a bus from the East Bay Transit Co, part of the old Key System that ran in Oakland and Berkeley. San Pablo Ave is a major thoroughfare that runs from Downtown Oakland up to Berkeley and Richmond.

Yes, I'm familiar with San Pablo Avenue and the Key System as well. Years ago I would check out books from the library about the Key System. I liked looking at the old pictures of the streetcars and buses, and pictures of the Bay Bridge lower deck back when it was for the interurban streetcars and trucks, and the upper deck was for car traffic, and both decks had 2-way traffic.

Even the photos themselves have kind of "vintage" look, lol. It is hard to explain but I like it. Not everything needs to be so crisp. I often made my photos look too "crunchy" back in the day, and I try to avoid that now.

Cars not really my thing, but maybe these kind of cars are worth to photograph or incorporate in a photograph if I ever see them. You had to erase the license plate in the second photo?

^ lovin' those vintage chevys!

I followed this McLaren home in Kalamazoo a few weeks ago. Maybe someone more informed than I can help identify the model & year - it looks pretty new to me. It stuck out like a sore thumb, especially on a gray day, with that color -

Thanks, I'm a sloppy & lazy photographer sometimes when in a hurry, the pic was taken in low evening light at 1/15 sec. f/3.6 16 mm, ISO 100, hand held with no image stabilization.

Erasing the plate no. is a good idea, the front plate was a vintage one so I didn't erase it.

Here is another, taken at 1/6 sec. f/3.8 18 mm, I tried to give it some special effects; so it has a more surreal look.

Near my work, someone took a mid-1980s Toyota Corolla SR5 Liftback and made it look like a JDM Toyota Trueno. Photo taken today (Tuesday, 6.7.2022).

^ Love it! They even have it painted with the Inital D scheme and decals. And it’s parked in front of Fujiwara tofu shop! Wonder if he/she is an employee or the owner? On Yelp it looks like a themed cafe and that car is parked outside in a lot of the pictures.

Haha oh man, I realize I might have an Initial D manga book somewhere, I'd have to look for it. I didn't realize the car has the same theme. I've never been inside that cafe, it wasn't open when I took the pictures (they open at 1pm). I might have to go inside some time after work or during the weekend or something.
