ROCHESTER, MN | Michael's Site | 30 & 16 FLOORS

New two tower proposal out of Rochester, MN

Quote:
Under the preliminary proposal, the tower would include 255 residential units, while the hotel would have 153 rooms and 61,452 net feet of retail. If the project is to move forward, the West Center Street parking ramp would also need to be taken down.

To the left of the proposal is the Hilton which is currently under construction.

Can you point to other towns as small as Rochester (MN) that have/could have such a serious skyline?

Anything over about 6-10 floors is being done for a good reason (lack of space/high land prices). Usually you don't find this in small towns!

I'd guess it has to do with the extreme concentration of Rochester's employment being located downtown in the various hospitals.
