Thanks for all your comments people. Foun10Head-X - it ain't finished yet, although I am considering a temporary hiatus in order to think about whats next.

JHoward88 - kind words indeed, not sure I deserve them - certainly my girlfriend wouldn't say them lol! Well this is a hobby, although I have sold plenty of images to photographic stock libraires which kinda makes what I do not entirely unpractical. I suppose the main reason I do what i do and I'm sure why most other members on the forum also do what do, is because they enjoy it. Whether its building a city, or a building, or drawing, or writing or doing sports, whatever your 'thing' you do it because it brings something exciting to your life that you get a kick out of doing. And thats the most important thing at the end of the day.

A mind-blowing and unbelievable achievement! The amount of creativity is just unmatched! Every building is unique and so realistic.

The aerial also shows how massive complex the Financial Center really is. Have you tried to calculate how much there's office space? It could be interesting to compare it to some of the real world giants, like the former WTC.

Good idea Vellu, leave it with me, I'll need to put my thinking cap on for that one lol.

North Wilmington Plaza

Where North Wilmington Avenue passes over one of the twin bridges and heads north it changes into the Wilmington
Expressway. At this juncture lies North Wilmington Plaza, hardly a picturesque public space, but this mini commercial hub
does have a large shopping centre (good place for reasonably priced electronics) and a few budget hotels nearby. Its
handy if you fancy staying on the northbank, close to Chinatown, but with good transport links to downtown across
the river.

Right I've been doing some renders. These 2 are of Pingyao Plaza, one of the cities tallest and my headquarters.
Its a pretty massive building, topping out at nigh on 200m to the roof.

First view is from Central Avenue with the lightrail spanning the shot.\/

View looking up at the building \/

Top notch work, as always. I really love the way you rendered the clog of cars in post #345. I presume that was post-production, but by golly, you got them perfect.

Really beautiful shots, as always. Especially those ground level shots of the Pingyao Plaza. The slight warping of the glass adds to the realism. Did you use a bump map or some other method to warp the reflection? Was it perhaps post-pro?

Why do you put your tracks between the platforms instead of around them?

Take a look at http://www.unity3d.com/ It's a 3D game engine. You could export your city to Unity 3D and do a virtual walk through.

Another great ground level shot! I think they really help to bring the city to life. This latest is probably the most photorealistic yet. If the leftmost building had better textures it would be very difficult to think that this wasn't a photoshopped photo.

thanks all for comments and suggestions, yeah Vellu that buildings texture was bugging me when I was doing the post pro work, and I never got around to sorting it out...Sta Fee is undergoing a hiatus at present, so no real news. I did manage another render. This one looking east at Pingyao Plaza.

out fucking standing. the way the textures look, it's almost as if they weren't flat images!

do you use bump or displacement settings in your models?

and yeah that curve should be a little smoother. Maybe have it go through the middle of the road or make the curve longer.

I have a shot request: from Maberley Park, looking over the small lake towards the Financial Center and the Los Madras skyline.

Those most recent renderings once again shine light on the absolutely outstanding work that you do, Pingyao. I couldn't let this thread drift down without commenting once again on the great shots of Sta Fee.
