thats one thing I love about Denver so much, it has a huge variety of architectural styles, even older ones. It has almost the feel of an east coast city.

Do you have a state income or local tax in PA? That is where we make up the difference, I think? Regardless, taxes suck!

Most municipalities in the Philly metro have a 1% EIT (1/2 to town, 1/2 to school district). The city of Philly has a much high EIT (aka the Wage tax)

There is also a state EIT of 3.07%

There are two at each boarder of this neighborhood, Lowry on the east end (former air force base turned community) and Colorado blvd on the west, which is one of the most commercial streets in Denver. Also, the Cherry Creek shopping area is almost walking distance, it has Saks, Neiman, Nordstom, Macy's, etc.

Yes, it's true... Colorado does have lower property tax than most states. However, it does balance out with our higher income and sales tax versus other states.

I always love your neighborhood photos, Aztec. I wish I could afford to live in this neighborhood, too! I drive along 6th and 7th frequently and I wish there were more divided two-way streets like this. I have a photo thread for you: you should get photos around the Wash Park area (Downing/Virginia areas, the park itself) and you should do it around 5 or 6 o' clock to get all the people around there after work. I love that neighborhood as well. Well done, yet again!
