Wow, that first pic is truly incredible. Houston and L.A. probably have some of the worst traffic congestion/ jams in the U.S.

Some shots of Houston traffic...most from a few years ago...some recent. Much of this is construction-related.

Holy shit! I will never complain about traffic on Deerfoot again.

BTW since this has photos from more than one person, I believe it goes in Found City Photos.

Insane traffic, people!
I'll never complain about our so-called traffic on I-75 again!

I think I would have to add Atlanta to my list along with Houston and L.A. as having the worst traffic in the U.S. after looking at those pics above, WOW!!

Does Chicago have a lot of bad traffic like Houston, LA, and Atlanta?

Chicago traffic is weird.... pretty horrible, but at the same time it seems to advance. Sometimes in Houston, you just stay there without any good reason. Granted I've only driven in Chicago like thrice, but that was my impression.

Austin - I took this shot late last month. The reason for the congestion was street construction, it was made worse since it was 5 pm. This was actually downtown, I wasn't complaining though, I just hung out the window and snapped about 60 photos in ~15 minutes.

The woman in that car must have thought I was nuts.

It's two big interstates merging into one through downtown Atlanta (I-85 and I-75 it also passes through I-20). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Downtown_Connector
