First Canadian Place, Toronto

Here is a link to Aon's little Sister..

http://pic20.picturetrail.com/VOL83/.../196975477.jpg

Same architect, floor plan and design. 9 meters shorter. No wonder I love First Canadian Place. The horizontal lines make a massive difference however. Affects the appearance in a very significant way.

I am definitely pleased to have this tower among the collection in Chicago. It has a large and graceful presence, and, despite looking slightly dated now, I think it will only improve with age. Here are a few shots from my collection:

I don't want to crash the party, but what is so great about this building? The only positive design attributes it really has is its vertical height, and the lines on its side. It's nothing but a tall, gray box.

I just see it as a lack of artistic inspiration.

^^^ It's not gray, its white. Its got a great plaza, great proportions, great verticality, and is extremely monolithic. What's not to like?

I LOVE it. It's simple, it's big, it's imposing, it's a true blue American skyscraper and I really really like it

Gotta be the most in-your-face skyscraper ever. Just so out there and present.
Almost arragont in it's nature. Kinda like a French chick at a crowded bar, nothing special, but stand out and has a unique yet twisted presence.
Anyone? With me here? LOL
