I think the negativity is more around the high costs, the endless delays, and the currently more limited functionality (was originally planned to include service to JFK).
But in terms of appearance, I don't think too many people will complain. If there's a better-looking modern rail transportation terminal anywhere on earth, I'd like to see it. I just think it needs to get the rail to JFK, but that would probably cost megabillions and 10 years extra (they would have to build a whole other subconcourse and platform level).
In any case, it's fine, for now. Glad it's almost done.
