The Prestige at One Yonge started shoring a month after The One. Obviously the One is a more complex structure on a confined site while the Prestige has a deeper and larger underground and podium structure. The One has been undeniably slow building strictly on the length of time to get to the height achieved. Site prep was very slow as well.

I don't see the erection speed increasing dramatically once they get to a more convention structure. It's looking at the tired CIBC Tower which wasn't a looker when it was new.

The Pretige also has the added benifit of being right next to the highway and a much much larger staging area.

Anyway here are some really great shots posted today by: BloorMan on urbantoronto.ca

And one from Benitto

Ramako, when you get a chance the list needs to be adjusted, CIBC Square 2 should be ahead of 160 Front Street. It's height is 241.4 m, the height shown is for CIBC Square 1.

#4. CIBC Square II 241.4 m

I wonder when we will see some of the hanging supports installed? It should be pretty soon now.

According to u/t the next big pour at the One is next week. After that's done we should see the instalation of the hanger supports. After that we should be able to predict the topping out date by the speed at which the next full section goes up from the mechanical level. My updated guess now will be somewhere late winter 2024.

I think my own thread for this project is unclear, apologies. I couldn't figure out what was starting first in terms of phases.

I don't want to be a thread monitor. It's just so common to encounter a hypothetical thread about an under construction 4 tower development and not find anything useful on the individual tower statuses from scanning the entire thread. I just end up adding all 4 as under construction to the database. It pops up a couple years later and only one tower got built

What the deal with The One's molasses-like ascension?

Location is a big part of it. One Bloor East was slow going too compared to the average but, fast compared to The One's pace. Design complexities? Finances? Inexperience?
