Yep they're not very pretty (brown brick et al), abd don't even have double glazing, but tend to have been slapped into the poshest parts of town that now have extreme land values.

I am surprised that Mexico and Paris are not mentioned more. Both cities have impressive stocks of Art Deco architecture.
