The 9/11 memorial is already completed and officially opened on 9/11/11, ten years to the date of the terrorist attacks. The 9/11 museum got the green light to continue construction and should be finished by 2014 along with 1wtc, 4wtc & the WTC transit hub! 2014 will be a exciting year to say the least!

Small fire reported at WTC site

Associated Press

Quote:
NEW YORK — New York City firefighters have responded to a report of a small fire at the World Trade Center site.

The report of a fire in a tool shed came in at about 11: 30 on Wednesday.

An FDNY spokesman said firefighters were still on the scene, but it appeared the fire didn't spread far.

There were no reports of injuries.

Looks like lots of activity on the NW portion of the plaza with the laying of water proof membrane. Its just to the north of the pavilion. hopefully were on track to see trees and stone by spring.

the ones that caught fire were used by the crane mechanics and likely contained grease that caught fire for whatever reason. The new office is located at the eastern side of the oculus, and is also made up of several adjacent shipping containers.
