Sussex County, Delaware (the southernmost county) has actually not had any cicadas yet. So the local news publishers are saying, and from what I saw over the weekend.

I have piles of cicada wings in the corners of my walkway and driveway.

I haven't seen a single cicada this year.

Actually I don't think I've ever seen a live cicada, I've only seen their dead skins.

Brood X is one of those things that I absolutely don't miss about living in Cincinnati.

My grandmother lives in Fort Thomas, KY (across the river from Cincinnati). She said she hasn't hardly gotten any on her street, but other parts of town were getting absolutely hammered by the horny little bastards.

^ i remember "cicada pizza" being a thing in chicago back in 2007 when Brood XIII last visited us.

i didn't try it.
