True, though a number of us post photos...edwards and others have made a good point of keeping shots within a reasonable size since it makes the thread much easier to view on smaller screens. We don't need to see a car with its license plate either.

Current state of ......

attached: lower facade and context.

indeed, brilliance of the design is that the floors above 50 will actually have more square footage with a reduced core. (i guess,,,, unlike the flawed business logic or model behind our wonderful pyramid)

ps1: please forgive the millennium tower in the attached picture. it just can't help but "lean into the picture".

ps2: Someone needs to contact the city about jasper-crap. So when did the semi-permanent/permanent, crappy, cheap, window washing equipment at the top become part of the design???

Now that the Wilshire tower's spire has been installed, the city can get to work on extending the walls/ crown 30+ feet so that this will be the tallest tower in the west once it's completed

lol

I wish they would add a spire to the building. Not just so SF can have the biggest skyscraper dick, but also because i think the salesforce tower would look really good with one. A centered spire, empire state-building style, not one of those wacky newfangled lopsided spires sticking out of the side.

How about two spires sticking out of opposite sides? Then we can claim we have the widest building.

You're not the only ones that thinks this:

This is from November 2015:

Some reaction comments here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/sanfrancisc...esforce_tower/

Wilshire still has at least two more pieces to be added to the top of the spire. It's probably even better to wait until Wilshire Grand is entirely completed construction before we start talking of any such wishful thinking. There is Comcast ITC in Philadelphia to watch as well if it matters to any.

8/29/16 height comparisons

These two shots I took from my place today rather dramatically show where we stand:

You have a great view!

For reference, the BofA building is 779 feet. Yesterday (in your picture), SF tower is at 735 feet to to the top of the inner forms.

Inner forms jumped again this morning with another level, so we're now at 750' to the tippy top.

Thanks--it's always changing, about 240 degrees, and never boring!

The former BofA building (555 California) sits on the beginning rise of Nob Hill; I remember reading it shows at about 823' on the skyline as a result. The 853' Transamerica Pyramid shows at about 872', with just a 19' elevation.

Salesforce must be less than 20 ft rise then considering it's also built on fill like the pyramid?
